01 The resort
Tignes, 2,100 m
Tignes combines the highest altitude of the inhabited Tarentaise with the longest season in Savoie, glacier included. The resort is spread over several levels — Val Claret, Le Lac, Le Lavachet — with housing dominated by high-altitude residences. The length of the season changes the nature of the work: wear over five to six months of continuous use has nothing in common with a resort that closes in mid-April.

02 How a contract is set up
What we check before committing
We do not take on a one-off changeover 2 hr 10 away: it would not hold the day a departure runs late. A season contract can be prepared — and this is what we look at before signing it.
- GroupingNeighbouring properties, on one or two sites. Spread over five sites, internal travel eats the day and the commitment does not hold — we say so rather than accept it.
- Volume and datesNumber of properties, beds and bathrooms, actual opening and closing dates. This decides the team assigned to the season.
- The visitFree, before any quote. A photo shows the volume, never the access, the carrying or the condition of surfaces.
- The specificationWritten room by room and agreed with you. It is the document used to train staff and to settle a disagreement.
- The reportA time-stamped photo per property at every visit, as in the 3 Vallées. Distance does not change what you receive.

Our work at altitude
A narrower list than in the valley: in resorts, we look after holiday accommodation and its common areas, not private homes.

In resorts, we only work on a season contract: a one-off changeover 140 km away cannot be done properly. In the Chambéry valley, holiday lets between guests are handled by Hipla Conciergerie (site in French).

Does a longer season change the contract?
Yes, on two counts. First the number of changeovers, which is naturally higher. Then wear: over five to six months of continuous use, textiles and floors need an intermediate deep clean, usually in February, which short-season resorts do not need to plan.
Do you also work during the summer glacier season?
It is possible, but summer volume is nothing like winter and does not always justify a dedicated team. We discuss it at the visit: if your properties stay open in summer, we price the two periods separately rather than smoothing an annual rate that would fit neither.
